Overview
This privacy policy describes how Wi-Fi Alert, published by Gillem Productions, handles information when you use the Android app. The app helps people on metered mobile plans notice when Wi-Fi is off or unexpectedly disconnected.
Information the app uses
Wi-Fi Alert reads the device's current Wi-Fi and cellular connection state to determine whether an alert is needed. It does not read network passwords, browsing activity, messages, contacts, files, or precise location.
If you enable driving protection, the app uses Android's physical-activity permission and Google Play services to receive an on-device signal when the phone is likely in a vehicle. Wi-Fi Alert stores only a temporary driving-suppression state; it does not create or retain an activity history.
Collection and sharing
Gillem Productions does not collect, sell, rent, or share personal information through Wi-Fi Alert. The app does not transmit your connection status or activity state to Gillem Productions or any developer-operated server.
Data stored on your device
Your Alert Mode setting, reminder timing preference, and temporary driving-suppression state are stored locally on your device. This information is used only to provide app functionality and is removed when you clear the app's data or uninstall it.
